Planting Site & Aftercare (Dutch)

This course is designed for experienced green professionals who already have a basic understanding of plant assortments and soil, and who wish to expand their expertise in planting site design and aftercare. It is particularly relevant for:

• Gardeners and arborists responsible for planting and maintaining trees and shrubs
• Landscape architects and designers aiming to create sustainable, healthy green projects
• Green space managers and policymakers working to optimise growing conditions in both urban and rural environments

During this one-day course, you’ll gain practical knowledge and skills to ensure the healthy growth and development of trees and shrubs. You’ll learn:

• Watering – When and how to water new plantings effectively
• Fertilisation – Which nutrients are needed and how to apply them
• Pests and diseases – How to recognise common issues and prevent or control them
• Protection – Methods to protect trees from damage and disorders
• Pruning – The best techniques and timing for pruning young plantings

The course takes place at our nursery in Sint-Oedenrode – an inspiring setting where theory can be immediately applied in practice. Our facilities offer modern presentation tools and the opportunity to work in small groups. During lunch, you’ll even have the chance to further expand your plant assortment knowledge using the available reference materials.

The programme consists of a combination of theory and practice, with sessions taking place both in the classroom and out on our nursery grounds.
